Visual Communications Industry Group, VCI-Group, Team to Present ...

A leadership team for The Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) has been asked to present at Elliot Golds seventh annual TeleSpan Future of Conferencing Workshop March 15-16 in Las Vegas. The team made up of; Stephen Demmings, VCI-Group President; Cornell University, and Directors, Toni Alonso of North Shore LIJ Health Systems, and Douglas Pearson, Accenture, are scheduled to participate in TeleSpans seventh annual Future of Conferencing Workshop and lead key discussions about the future of visual communications and collaboration, and the impact of current and future trends on their constituency and stakeholders.

The VCI-Group is the knowledge-sharing community that shapes the Visual Communications Industry. The VCI-Group is a community comprised of end-users and Vendors focused on videoconferencing, telepresence, Unified Communications and/or collaboration technology. Membership consists of individuals from organizations that make visual communications purchasing decisions or recommendations and create implementation strategies, and/or support the technology.

This forward-looking TeleSpan event historically targets future trends and explores current and future issues confronting end users, providers and manufacturers of conferencing and collaboration products and services worldwide. As representatives from the only independent end-user association in the conferencing and collaboration industry, the VCI-Group team is well qualified to lead discussions in panels exploring Unified Communications challenges and the future of hardware based video conferencing.

The Visual Communications Industry Group (VCI-Group) is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to working to influence the development of Industry-based standards for multimedia collaboration technologies and applications, to improve industry products and services, and to facilitate the exchange of information among its members.

VCI-Group focuses on providing an educational and peer networking vehicle in the conferencing and collaboration industry. In addition to providing access to programs and hot-off-the-press news and information, VCI-Groups driving force is to educate conferencing professionals.

The VCI-Group leverages participation in events such as the TeleSpan Future of Conferencing workshop to help discover and communicate future trends and issues to their members and to help shape and consolidate their educational track that is delivered at their annual conference, and throughout the year.
